War Crime Tribunal of Bangladesh is the arms to control against political party

 Few days ago I wrote of my Blog that I will be write same thing about International war crime  Tribunal in Bangladesh.  

Why I am writing now this article?  Because this tribunal is a controversial  tribunal not only  Bangladesh  its the whole world. So many international human right organisation, magazine and newspaper publish so many article and they criticise of this tribunal. Many international human right organisations is very concern about this tribunal and they think the intension of war crime tribunal is politically motivated.

The people of Bangladesh wanted to see proper judgement from long time since 1971 that is more than 40 years who had committed war crime during our liberation war in 1971.

The Present government of Bangladesh before coming to power they declared if they come to power they will justified war crime those committed during our liberation war 1971 by set up International War crime tribunal who had committed crime during our liberation war. But unfortunate it turn as a Kangaroo tribunal that people are making comment to see Judgement, prosecutor activities and political involvement  to this tribunal.    

Let me write about same individual who are involved as a judge, prosecutor and advisor. If you looked their past history and political view so that it will be clear that they politically motivated.  Question has rise Have they chosen to full fill the motivation of Awamilig government?  Have they involved any political organisation or a political motivated organisation? Let me introduce same of the guys they have recruited by government as a judge, prosecutor and advisor.

Firstly I am writing one of person the chairman of the war crime tribunal1 who has resign from the tribunal Nazim Uddin who claimed that he is international war  crime expert.  

The tribunal chairman Nizamul Hague Nasim why he has been chosen. He was the general secretary of one of the political party Jashod Chattro Lig in Bangladesh. Not only that he was secretary of  Ghatok Dalal Nirmol  Comiite.

 Another important person honourable formal law minister was his college there and Sultana  kamal  who is the witness against  Gulam  Ajam  in this case  they are the member of Ghatok Dhalal  Nirmol comitee .

Now I have to discuss what the outcome of this organisation is. The outcome was that Bangladesh Jamayate Islamic Leader formal president  professor Gholam  Ajam, president Motiuar Rahman Nizami  and very popular Islamic scholar Mowlana delwar  hossian  Saidee are ware criminal the should  be hang so called Ghatok Dhalal Nirmol Committee judgement made the decision long time ago before this  tribunal has been formed.

Then that Shofiq Ahmed became law minister, Nasim became the head judge of  international war crime tribunal and Sultana Kamal was appointed advisor of the  fist time of present government.  

Let me talk another person Ahmed Jiya uddin . Who is he?  He claimed he is international expert. Most importantly that He is member of Ghatok Dhala Nirmol Committee from last 20 years. Who was campaign for this trial of the political leader the Largest Islamic Party of Jamayete Islamic Bangladesh? It is very Claire that Formal law minister of Bangladesh, head judge Numazu uddin and prosecution and advisor work together from last 20 years under the Dhatok Dhalal Nirmol Comiti and from 25 years the demanding to hang those Islamic leader.   

It is most amazing and concern able thing that those people work last 20 years under the same organisation after that they become an important person of war crime tribunal.  So it is very difficult to believe how tribunal will be free and fear. Because those people are judging now under the tribunal they made a trail and demand hang the Jamayete Islamic leader 25 year ago.

Most importantly we are all know that police prepared the charge against the person who are committed crime then judge should decide. But we seen that the head judge made communication with his friend who lives in Beljium and he sending a fame of the judgement that how will be.

It was made by economist and popular  international  media,  newspaper published this conversation on their font page. It become very popular on social media like youtube, facebook and twiter . All world was surprised to see this conversation. It has clear that what is the motivation of this so called  international war crime tribunal in Bangladesh.  

Why this tribunal made us confuse? Why people are thinking that it is not a free and fear tribunal.

Let me discuss about that, firstly question has rise why stared the trail without Pakistani Army those are directly committed crime against humanity against the innocent people of Bangladesh. Why government have chosen only few important leader of Jamayete Islamic Leader after 40 years. Why they did not seek to the United Nation or other international organisation that are specialised about international war crime. Why they did not seek assistance or advice of International war crime tribunal in Hage or international criminal Courte. Why not allowed to access to see this tribunal from international lower those are expert on  international criminal law.

This thing is making confusing the people of Bangladesh about honestly and  intension of this tribunal. So it is almost clear that the present Awamilog government want to damage to largest Islamic political party this are getting popularity day by day. This party is very  strong and  increasing their popularity day by day.  

I think present government are using this tribunal as a hamper to control and damage this largest is Islamic party in Bangladesh  and same innocent  people to serve their political purpose. 

শেখ হাসিনের গনত্রান্তিক বক্তব্য, জনগনের উত্তর

একটা মজার বিষয় আপনাদের সাথে শেয়ার না করে পারলাম না ।
প্রত্যেক দিন বাংলাদেশের প্রায় সব কয়টি সংবাদ পত্র আমার পড়া হয়।আজ বসে বসে দৈনিক আমার দেশ অনলাইন পড়তেছিলেম। দেখলাম প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার একটি বক্তব্য ছাপা হয়েছেন। শিরোনাম দেখে থমকে গেলাম। শিরনামটি ছিল এই রকম "" রাজনীতি থেকে জারা হারিয়ে গেছে তারা আর ফিরবে না আমি মিরথু কে পরোয়া করি না। তিনি তার বক্তব্বের এক জায়গায় বললেন যে, যারা ইয়াহিয়া খানের পা-চাটা কুকুর ছিল এবং যারা বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা চায়নি, তাদের অস্তিত্ব এখনো আমাদের সমাজে আছে। সেই সাথে অনেক কিছু। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বক্তব্য শুনে আশ্চর্য হলাম না কারন তিনি এই রকম কথা বলেন। যাক ভাবলাম দেখি প্রধানমন্তীর এই বক্তব্বের পরিপেক্কীতে পাঠকরা কি মন্তব্য করেছেন। মন্তব্য গুলো পড়ে এই কথা বুজলাম যে বাংলাদেশের  মানুষ এখন নাখ, কান খোলা রেখে চলে। আগের দিনের মত আর কথা দিয়ে ফাঁকি দেওয়া যাবে না। পাঠকদের কিছু মন্তব্য আমি আপনাদের সামনে তুলে ধরলাম।

Shame on Hasina for using such vulgar words against her political opponents. If Yahya was so bad, why her father preferred to surrender to his 'dogs' rather than leading the liberation war in person? এই মন্তব্য গুলো থেকে কি বুজা যায়? এটা কি আমাদেরকে সুস্পষ্ট ইঙ্গিত দিচ্ছে না যে, ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ আর যুদ্দ অপরাধীর বিচার, এই সমস্ত কথা বলে আর বাংলাদেশের মানুষকে বোকা বানানো যাবে না।   

বাংলাদেশের মানুষ এখন ধান্দাবাজী রাজনীতি ছেড়ে দিয়ে একটি সুন্দর প্রগতিশীল রাজনীতি চায়।

সম্প্রচার কমিশন হবে একটি ‘জো হুজুর’ বা আজ্ঞাবাহী কমিশন।

বাংলাদেশের সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে সরকার প্রণয়ন করল সম্প্রচার নীতিমালা।  অনেকে মনে করেন যে, এমনিতে বাংলাদেশের মিডিয়া গুলো কোন না কোন ভাবে government  নিয়ন্ত্রন করছে  যাহা প্রকাশে হউক বা আর গোপনে হয় তার উপরে যদি এই সম্প্রচার নীতি মালা কার্যকর করা হয় তাহলে সংবাদ মাধ্যম গুলোর কোন স্বাধীনতা থাকবে না।

একদিকে সরকার বলছে যে,এই সম্প্রচার নীতিমালা মাধমে সংবাদ মাধ্যম গুলো আরও বেশি স্বাধীনতা ভোগ করবে কিন্তু সরকার এ কথা বলেছে না যে দিগন্ত টিভি, ইসলামিক টিভি,আমার দেশ পত্রিকা কবে তাদের স্বাধীনটা ভোগ করবে।

এইবার আসুন দেখে নেই ইতিহাসের পাতা থেকে সংবাদ  মাধ্যমের  প্রতি  আওয়ামীলীগের কিছু চিন্তা ধারণা এবং আচরণ। আমার কাছে মনে হয় সেগুলো হয়ত আমাদেরকে একটি সুস্পষ্ট ধারণা দিতে পারে যে, আওয়ামীলীগ  সরকারের আমলে যদি এই সম্প্রচার নীতিমালা আইন আকারে  প্রণয়ন করা হয় তাহলে কি অবস্থা হতে পারে।  

১৯৯৬ সালে আওয়ামী লীগ ২য় মেয়াদে ক্ষমতায় আসে। এবার ক্ষমতায় এসে তারা ভিন্ন ভাবে সংবাদপত্র দলন করা শুরু করে। ‘দৈনিক বাংলা’, ‘বাংলাদেশ টাইমস’ এবং সাপ্তাহিক ‘বিচিত্রা’ বন্ধ করা হয়। ২০০৮ সালে তৃতীয় মেয়াদে ক্ষমতায় এসে ২০১৩ সালে ‘দৈনিক আমার’ দেশ বন্ধ করা হয়। অন্যদিকে ‘দিগন্ত টিভি’ এবং ‘ইসলামিক টিভি’ও বন্ধ করা হয়। এর আগে তারা ‘চ্যানেল ওয়ান’ নামক টিভিটি বন্ধ করে দেয়। ‘আমার দেশে’র সম্পাদক মাহমুুদুর রহমানকে বছরের পর বছর কারাগারের অন্ধকারে পচানো হচ্ছে। পাকিস্তান আমলে ‘দৈনিক ইত্তেফাকের’ প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ও সম্পাদক তোফাজ্জল হোসেন মানিক মিয়াকে একাধিক বার গ্রেফতার করা হয়। কিন্তু কোন বার তাকে এত দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে কারাগারে রাখা হয়নি। এছাড়া কারাগারের ভেতরেও তার সাথে ভিআইপির মত ব্যবহার করা হয়। চতুর্থ মেয়াদে অর্থাৎ গত ৫ই জানুয়ারী র‌্যাব এবং পুলিশের জোরে ক্ষমতায় এসে এবার গ্রহণ করা হল জাতীয় সম্প্রচার নীতি। এখন  মনে অজান্তে  প্রস্ন আসে যে, যে সরকার বন্ধ মিডিয়া  গুলোকে খুলে দিচ্ছে না তারা কি করে এই সম্প্রচার নিতিমালার মাধমে সংবাদ মাধ্যমের  স্বাধীনতাকে  আরও বিকশিত করবে।

বাংলাদেশের মত একটি স্বাধীন এবং গণতান্ত্রিক দেশে এই ধরনের নীতিমালার কোন প্রয়োজন নাই। বিগত ৪৩ বছর ধরে এ দেশে সংবাদপত্র এবং টেলিভিশন তাদের সম্পাদকীয় এবং সম্প্রচার নীতিতে সব সময় দায়িত্বশীলতার পরিচয় দিয়েছে। তাদের বিরুদ্ধে দায়িত্ব হীনতার একটি উদাহরণও চোখে পড়ে না। তারপরেও বলতে চাই যে, এই ধরনের নীতি যদি আদতেই প্রণয়ন করতেই হয় তাহলে সেটি করবে একটি সম্প্রচার কমিশন, সরকার নয়। অথচ সরকার আগে ভাগেই সম্প্রচার নীতি প্রণয়ন করেছে, সেটি মন্ত্রীসভায় অনুমোদন করেছে এবং গত বৃহস্পতিবার গেজেট নোটিফিকেশন করে সেটি সার্কুলেট করেছে। এরপর নাকি সম্প্রচার কমিশন গঠিত হবে। একথা বললে অযৌক্তিক হবে না যে সম্প্রচার নীতিমালা প্রস্তাবিত কমিশনের সামনে একটি গাইড লাইন হিসেবে কাজ করবে। সুতরাং সেই সম্প্রচার কমিশন হবে একটি ‘জো হুজুর’ বা আজ্ঞাবাহী কমিশন। সরকার এখানে ঘোড়ার আগে গাড়ি জুড়ে দিয়েছে। মন্ত্রীসভা অনুমোদিত নীতিমালায় এমন সব বিধান রয়েছে যে সরকার ইচ্ছা করলে যে কোন সময় যে কোন টেলিভিশন বা রেডিও যে কোন অযুহাতে নীতিমালার অপব্যাখ্যা করে বন্ধ করে দিতে পারে। সম্ভবত সেটি আশঙ্কা করেই আইনজীবী শাহদীন মালিক বলেছেন, যদি এখনই এই সম্প্রচার নীতিমালার বিরুদ্ধে এখনই প্রতিবাদ গড়ে তোলা না যায় তাহলে আগামী জানুয়ারী ফ্রেব্রুয়ারী মাসের মধ্যেই এক বা একাধিক মিডিয়া সরকারি রোষানলে পড়ে বন্ধ হয়ে যাবে। এ জন্যই বলা হচ্ছে যে, এই আইন হল একটি কুখ্যাত কালা আইন এবং যেদিন থেকে এই আইনটি কার্যকর হবে সে দিনটি হবে বাংলাদেশের জন্য একটি কৃষ্ণ দিবস।

স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী পদে শামীম ওসমানকে চাই

দুঃখে কপাল চাপড়াচ্ছি। ১৩ আগস্ট চ্যানেল একাত্তরে প্রচারিত শামীম ওসমান-আইভী ‘টক শো’টা মিস করেছি। সকালে উঠে দেখি সংবাদমাধ্যম সরগরম।

দুঃখ আরেকটা, কিছু পুরোনো। মাস দুয়েক—হয়তো কিছু বেশি হয়েছে। এক টক–শোর জন্য বাসায় ক্যামেরা হাজির। অধমের বসার ঘর থেকে কিছু অংশ টক শোতে সরাসরি সম্প্রচার করা হবে। সামনে ক্যামেরা, কানে কিছু যন্ত্রপাতি লাগানো, যাতে স্টুডিওতে টক শোর অন্যান্য অংশগ্রহণকারীর কথা শোনা যায়। আমি অবশ্য দেখতে পারছি না অন্যদের। অনুষ্ঠান শুরুর দু-তিন মিনিট কিছু শুনতে পাইনি। বুঝতে পারিনি স্টুডিওতে অন্য কে কে অংশ নিচ্ছেন।

মাঝখান থেকে কানে লাগানো যন্ত্রে যখন কথাবার্তা শোনা শুরু হলো, ততক্ষণে অনুষ্ঠান চলছে। তিন-চার মিনিট লেগে গেল অনুধাবন করতে যে টক শোটিতে স্টুডিওতে আছেন খোদ শামীম ওসমান।

ওরে বাবা!

অধমের বাসায় চ্যানেলটির যে ক্যামেরাম্যান এবং আরও কর্মী এসেছিলেন, তাঁদের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে বলেছিলাম—বাবারে, আমি নাই। ফলে নিজের বাসাতেই ক্যামেরার সামনে থেকে দৌড়ে বাসার অন্য রুমে গিয়ে আশ্রয় নিলাম। পরে শুনেছি, অনুষ্ঠানটির সঞ্চালক নাকি বলেছিলেন যে অধম হঠাৎ অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ায় অনুষ্ঠানে অংশ নিতে পারছেন না।

আইভী সাহসী, অত্যন্ত সাহসী। অধমের মতো ভোঁ-দৌড় দেননি, নিজ বাসাতেই। দু-একটা চ্যানেল আছে, যারা খবরের নিরপেক্ষতার স্বার্থে বারবার শামীম ওসমানকে টক শোতে ডাকে। সব সময় আবার সবাইকে বলেও না যে মাননীয় সাংসদ অনুষ্ঠানটিতে থাকবেন। তাই রিস্ক এড়াতে ও রকম দু-একটা চ্যানেলের কোনো টক শোতেই যাই না। বলা তো যায় না, যদি তাঁর সামনে পড়ে যাই। আমি বরাবরই অত্যন্ত ভীতু প্রকৃতির।

একাত্তর পুনঃপ্রচার করবে কি না জানি না, তবে ধারণা করছি ইউটিউবে সবাই দেখছে।

দেশে স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী নাই। আছেন প্রতিমন্ত্রী। অতএব, পূর্ণ মন্ত্রী তো দরকার।

মন্ত্রীর পদত্যাগ চাইবার পরিবর্তে এবার অতি মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কাছে করজোড়ে নিবেদন—মাননীয় সাংসদ শামীম ওসমানকে আপনার মন্ত্রিসভায় স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী পদে নিয়োগ দিয়ে আমাদের ধন্য করুন।

বলা বাহুল্য, কে ফুল মন্ত্রী, হাফ মন্ত্রী বা সিকি মন্ত্রী হবেন, সেটা অতি অবশ্যই অতি মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর নিজস্ব ব্যাপার। তাই ধৃষ্টতার জন্য ক্ষমা চেয়ে নিচ্ছি। তবে আমরা সুশীলরা যেহেতু সর্বক্ষণ মন্ত্রীদের পদত্যাগ চাওয়ার দোষে দুষ্ট, তাই সেই পাপের প্রায়শ্চিত্তের কারণেও এবার পদত্যাগের বদলে নিয়োগ চাইছি।

আর স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীর খালি পদের জন্য শামীম ওসমান থেকে যোগ্যতর ব্যক্তি এখন আর কে-ই বা আছেন।

কারণ দর্শাই, আশা করি অতি মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর মন গলবে।

মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী সংসদে ওসমান পরিবারকে বিপদে-আপদে রক্ষা করার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছেন, যা আমরা সবাই জানি। আওয়ামী লীগের জন্য ওসমান পরিবারের অবদান কিংবদন্তিপ্রায়। ষাটের দশকেরও বেশি সময় ধরে নারায়ণগঞ্জে আওয়ামী লীগের ঝান্ডা উঁচিয়ে রেখেছে এই ওসমান পরিবার। আওয়ামী লীগের জন্য প্রয়োজনে ছল, বল, কৌশল—অর্থাৎ চাঁদাবাজি, সন্ত্রাসী, খুন, দখল, টেন্ডারবাজি সবই করতে হয়েছে এই পরিবারকে। প্রয়োজনে নির্বাচনে ভোট পেয়ে জয়ী হয়েছেন। আবার ভোটাররা ভোট না দিলেও ফলাফলে তাঁদের জয় ঠিকই হয়েছে। আওয়ামী লীগের মিটিং-সিটিংয়ে বাস-ট্রাক ভর্তি করে লোক জোগান দেওয়ার নির্ভেজাল ঐতিহ্য বহু দশকের।

দ্বিতীয় গুণ হলো, সারা দেশের লোক শামীম ওসমানকে এক নামে চেনে। প্রথম আলোর হার্ডকপি–সফটকপি মিলিয়ে প্রতিদিনের যে লাখ পঞ্চাশেক পাঠক, তাঁদের বেশির ভাগ শামীম ওসমানকে নিশ্চয় চেনেন আরও অনেক বেশি, প্রথম আলোয় বারবার তাঁর গুণকীর্তনের কারণে।

বিষয়টা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এ কারণে যে বর্তমান মন্ত্রিসভার অর্ধশতাধিক মন্ত্রীর মধ্যে আধা ডজনের নামও বোধ হয় দেশের শতকরা ২০ ভাগ জনগণ বল

Outsourcing Pregnancy

It’s now ‘pregnancy outsourcing’ that is on the rise in India. Childless couples and singles, especially from the US, Europe and Southeast Asia are looking to India with the hope of becoming parents.

There are others like working women who don’t have the time or can’t afford to become mothers or who simply don’t want to go through the physical changes and health issues that come with getting pregnant. But they strongly want to have babies.

Single women and men are also finding surrogacy the best way to have their own children with the help of either a donated sperm or egg, as the case may require.

Indian surrogate mothers are in big demand. The requirements are simple: A surrogate must not be over 45 years and should test negative to life-threatening and genetic diseases including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B & C and thalassemia.

There’s money to be had, it’s for a short-term period and there is the satisfaction of bringing happiness to someone’s life.

The downside is that surrogacy is a largely unregulated sector and the rights of these women remain unprotected.

Many country ban to do outsourcing   pregnancy but  In same country like they  increasing outsourcing   revenue specially in India its going very  popularity day by day. I am going to mention one of the town name in Gujrat. Its very popular for paid pregnancy also  chipper as well but on the other  hand  paid pregnancy its very   highly demand and expensive in European Country or United state the cost about 17 thousand or 18 thousand dollar. In Indian surrogacy made by only 5 thousand or maximum 7 thousand dollar.

India is home to a booming, multi-million dollar, unregulated surrogacy industry, in which couples can hire an Indian woman to carry their child via in vitro fertilization—using the either the couple's own sperm and egg or donor sperm and egg—for less than a quarter of what it costs to for the same services in the U.S.

The town of Anand is considered the "hub" of India's surrogacy business. One clinic there—run by Dr. Nayana Patel, who has helped deliver babies for over 200 American couples—requires surrogates to live in a hostel for their entire pregnancy so they can be monitored. Dr. Patel's facility was was profiled by CBS News; footage shows small, crowded rooms packed with rows of single bed-sized cots, some of them holding two pregnant women at a time, while hallways are lined with women eating their meals on the floor. They are cut off from their families for the duration of their stay.

Of the $25,000 price tag that Americans pay for a pregnancy, only $8000 goes to the surrogate for her 40 weeks on the job. But it beats the $30 a month that one woman at the clinic was making as a housekeeper.

So we are basically now living in a dystopian future in which the ruling class is farming people in an impoverished environment. This is The Handmaid's Tale come to life.

 Dutta may have opted to become a surrogate to satisfy her maternal instincts, but for Preeti Singh (name changed) from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, surrogacy was a way to address her poverty.

She delivered a child for a British couple in September last year. Six months on, she came to the IVF Research Centre again to donate her eggs that fetched her Rs 25,000. Now she is thinking of going for surrogacy once again to ease her economic pressures and secure her children’s future.

Thirty-year-old Preeti has two children. Her husband is a DRIVER and earns Rs 2,500 a month. “It was difficult to put two meals a day on the table for the family,” she explains.

Her life changed after she delivered the surrogate baby. The payment she received took care of all her immediate needs. “Our worry about getting the next meal for our children was solved immediately. Later, we built two small rooms, bought a bike and put some money in the bank,” Preeti says with a smile.

For Preeti, the money (Rs 3,50,000) was a dream come true. But for someone coming from the US or UK, this sum is a fraction of what they would have to pay to hire a surrogate in their own country.

That kind of family are  going up day by day. Because within short time a women earning .lots of money.

আওয়ামী সরকার বিগত সাড়ে ৫ বছর ধরে রাষ্ট্রের পুলিশসহ আইনশৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনীগুলোকে প্রায়ই হিটলারি কায়দায় ব্যাপকহারে মূলত সরকারবিরোধী বৃহত্তম গণতান্ত্রিক জোটের রাজনৈতিক কর্মকা- নিয়ন্ত্রণে ব্যবহারের কারণে এমনিতেই রাজধানী ঢাকাসহ সারা দেশে সন্ত্রাস, চাঁদাবাজি, ছিনতাইবাজি, টেন্ডারবাজি, দখলবাজি, অপহরণ, খুন, গুম, ধর্ষণ, অবৈধ মাদক ও অস্ত্র ব্যবসা নিয়ন্ত্রণহীন হয়ে পড়েছে। দেশের সাধারণ মানুষের জানমালের নিরাপত্তা বিধান করা পুলিশের মূল দায়িত্ব হলেও পুলিশ ও আইনশৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনীর একশ্রেণীর অসাধু কর্মকর্তার ছত্রছায়ায় দাগী ও চিহ্নিত সন্ত্রাসী ও অপরাধীরা আরও বেপরোয়া তৎপরতার মাধ্যমে নাগরিক জীবনকে সন্ত্রস্ত ও নিরাপত্তাহীন করে তুলেছে। আওয়ামী সরকারের রাজনৈতিক এজেন্ডা বাস্তবায়নে বিরোধী দলীয় নেতা-কর্মীদের নির্বিচারে গ্রেফতার ও ধরপাকড়ের মধ্য দিয়ে একদিকে দেশের প্রায় প্রতিটি কারাগারে ধারণ ক্ষমতার ৩ গুণেরও বেশি কারাবন্দী ঢুকিয়ে কারাগারগুলোতে এক ধরনের মানবিক বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টি করা হয়েছে। অন্যদিকে কারাগারে দাগী অপরাধী ও শীর্ষ সন্ত্রাসীদের ব্যাপক সুযোগ-সুবিধা দিয়ে লালন-পালন ও অপরাধ পরিচালনার সুযোগ দেয়া হলেও বিরোধী দলীয় নেতা-কর্মীদের নিছক রাজনৈতিক মামলায় গ্রেফতার করে ডা-াবেড়ি পরিয়ে ও পুলিশী রিমান্ডে নেয়ার অনেক উদাহরণ সৃষ্টি করেছে পুলিশ। বিচারের মাধ্যমে অপরাধীদের শাস্তি বা সংশোধনের জায়গা কারাগার যদি শীর্ষ সন্ত্রাসী ও কিলারদের অভয়ারণ্যে পরিণত করা হয়, তাহলে আইনের শাসন ও নিরাপত্তা লাভের অধিকার থেকে দেশের সাধারণ মানুষ শুধু বঞ্চিতই হয় না, গোটা সমাজকে বিশৃঙ্খলা ও নিরাপত্তাহীনতার বিভীষিকাময় অন্ধকারও গ্রাস করে। আওয়ামী সরকারের গতবারের শেষ সময়ে এসে জাতীয় সাধারণ নির্বাচনকে সামনে রেখে সরকার ও সরকারি দলের মদদে এখন চিহ্নিত শীর্ষ সন্ত্রাসী ও দাগী অপরাধীরা আত্মগোপন থেকে বা জামিনে বেরিয়ে নিয়ে এসেছিল বলে প্রকাশিত খবরে দেশ বাসী ও সাধারন মানুষ জানতে পারে। নির্বাচনে ক্যাডারম্যান হিসেবে ব্যবহারের জন্য ক্ষমতাসীন দলের প্রভাবশালীদের কাছে এই সন্ত্রাসীদের কদর বহুগুণে বেড়ে গিয়েছিল। সন্ত্রাস, ছিনতাই, চাঁদাবাজি, টেন্ডারবাজি ও দলবাজি নিয়ন্ত্রণে ক্ষমতাসীন দল ও তার অঙ্গ সংগঠনসমূহের নেতা-কর্মী নামধারীদের সন্ত্রাসী কর্মকা- নিয়ন্ত্রণে বিগত সাড়ে ৫ বছরে পুলিশ ও সরকারের সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষকে কোনো প্রকার ভূমিকা নিতে দেখা যায়নি। শাসক দলের এজেন্ডা বাস্তবায়নে গত সাড়ে ৫ বছর ধরে পুলিশের শক্তি-সামর্থ্যরে প্রায় পুরোটাই রাজনৈতিক আন্দোলন-সংগ্রাম দমনে ব্যবহারের নীতি পরিহার করে অবৈধ অস্ত্র, মাদক ব্যবসা, অপহরণ, হত্যা, গুম, ছিনতাই, চাঁদাবাজি, দখলবাজি, প্রতারণা, জালিয়াতি, লুটপাট ও সন্ত্রাস নিয়ন্ত্রণে পুলিশের স্বাভাবিক দায়িত্ব পালনে ও জবাবদিহিতা এখনও নিশ্চিত করা হবে না কেন? কারাগারগুলোকে সন্ত্রাসী ও অপরাধীদের শাস্তির জায়গা হিসেবেই দেখতে চায় দেশের জনগণ, রাজনৈতিক নেতা-কর্মীদের জায়গা হিসেবে নয়।
